Mode of Delivery
Having identified the content of your program, you are now able to determine the best method for delivery. The choice of method should take into consideration the characteristics of your Target audience to help you determine what will likely work best. For example, a web-based interactive program may not be ideal for elderly populations (who have less experience with computers) or lower income populations (who may not have access to the internet or computers), but may be ideal for college students.
Which of the following modes would most effectively deliver your program content to your target audience:
- School curriculum materials
- Peer-to-peer workshops
- Facilitated role playing
- Web-based interactive programs
- Theater or dramas involving community participation
- Mass media and television programs
- Distribution of printed materials
- Combination of some or all of the above
Keep in mind that multiple delivery modes may be more effective than a single mode. It is also possible to choose one mode of delivery for a primary audience and another mode of delivery for a secondary audience.
